Web Series On PM Modi Pulled Down
The makers of Modi: The Journey Of A Common Man have pulled down the show from the platform, Eros Now after EC's directive. Now, the producer Ashish Wagh assures that the show will be back once the polling is over
The makers of Modi: The Journey Of A Common Man, a web series based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s life, streaming on Eros Now, have pulled down the show from their app as well as all other partner platforms, reports Mid-day. This decision came in a week after the Election Commission directed Eros Now to stop streaming the web show on their platform.
A report in a leading tabloid states, “While the first five episodes had dropped online on April 3 - a week before the seven-phase Lok Sabha polls began in India - the remaining five episodes were scheduled to stream from April 18. However, on April 20, the EC cited the model code of conduct while issuing the directive.”
